College football Saturday is one day away, and if your smart your waiting for us to pick our three team teaser so you can get sloppy at the local dive bar.

This week we are going to stick with our guns and bet on the big name teams. We've got one of our horses against Florida and the two other playing Bowling Green and Kentucky. Let's break it down.

THREE TEAM 10 POINT TEASER

Bowling Green vs West Virginia

I had a prof in college who went to Bowling Green, he talked about the school all the time and never once mentioned their football program. BG is playing some good football this year but WVU and their offense is on another level. With the tease I need WVU to win by 10. Geno Smith and WVU average 380 yards passing per game, AIR IT OUT.

Kentucky vs LSU

LSU is our go to team right now, they are one of the best defensive teams in the country and have a vet QB. Kentucky is pretty bad this year, and they got hammered 48-10 last week by Florida. LSU is better then Florida.

This is a huge game as #3 Bama travels to #12 Florida. Both teams are really good this year and this game is going to be crazy. Trent Richardson and Marquis Maze will look to carry Bama while Chris Rainey and Jeff Demps will have the pressure on them for the Gators. I look for this game to be close the whole way. Bama gives up 8 PPG and Florida 9 PPG, yikes.

Below is Tyson Giza lighting a poor RB up last weekend. This hit looks exactly like a hit stick hit did when Madden first introduced it into the game. The game is Willamette vs Southern Oregon, a game Willamette won 31-9. Also, the announcers are hilarious.

Well if your smart your already up some honest coin money, after LSU beat Miss State last night. After watching that game it is pretty clear that LSU has one of the best defenses in the country and they are going to be a very tough team to beat this year.

Now, moving onto this weekend. Below is my two team teaser for Saturdays games. This week we are going to put our money on two stud QB's. Landry Jones and Andrew Luck.

Oklahoma vs Florida State +4
Both teams are really good, but Oklahoma is the #1 team in the nation for a reason. Last year Landry Jones proved he can handle the Oklahoma offense and this year he is off to a great start. EJ Manuel is the QB for FSU and he has been great this year for the Seminoles, but the edge has to go to Jones because of his experience. Don't forget about one of the best WR's in the country for Oklahoma, Ryan Broyles. Also, I met some girls from Florida State at the bar a couple weeks ago and they were horrible, just horrible. Here we have a kid from the University of Cumberlands (small NAIA school), laying the lumber. QB led his RB right into this hit and the defender was waiting for him. RB made a decent attempt to catch the ball before he got demolished. Bonus points for the flying mouth guard.

Not a lot doing this weekend as far as big games are concerned. Biggest game will be Alabama going to Happy Valley to meet the Nittany Lions. Line is -10 for Bama and I would take that to the bank everyday of the week. Game is 330 on Saturday.

As bad as the BCS is and as much as we hate it, this game should be incredible.

Cam Newton leads Auburn into this game at 12-0 and Oregon runs into this game with LaMichael James at 12-0.

This game should be very high scoring and close the whole way through.

The X-Factor in this game has to be Cam Newton because he could go Vince Young in the fourth quarter and lead the Tigers to victory.

This is a really tough game to pick but I've got to go with

830PM Ohio State vs Arkansas

Ohio State is looking to quiet down some of the bad news they have gotten recently with a win tonight. The NCAA suspended 5 OSU players including QB Terrelle Pryor, and that will be a huge blow for the Bucks next year. Good news for OSU fans is that all of these players have said that they will return next year and will play tonight. OSU will also be playing to beat an SEC team in a bowl game for the first time in their last 9 tries.

The key for OSU tonight is to control the ball on the ground. Pryor is an elite athlete and will need to stay mistake free for OSU to win this game.

Arkansas is led by QB Ryan Mallet. Mallet is a huge dude and will need to play huge for Arkansas to pull this one out tonight. Mallet likes to air it out and if the Razorbacks are going to win he will need to spread the OSU defense out and keep them guessing.

Mallet is an NFL QB with his size, accuracy and strength. Pryor is an NFL wide receiver with his speed, agility and vision. But both of these guys are very good college football QB's right now and this is a great match up.

I think that OSU will control the tempo of this game, keep Arkansas from getting into a rhythm, and win this game in the fourth quarter.

Two very good teams square off tonight as Stanford takes on Virginia Tech. This should be a very good game as both teams are coming off of very good seasons.

The matchup of the night will be between the two QB's. Stanford's Andrew Luck is the best QB in the country and he needs to play well for this Stanford offense to fire on all cylinders. Virginia Tech will look for their signal caller Tyrod Taylor to make a difference in this one through the air and with his feet.

Stanford has won 7 games in a row and VT is unbeaten after starting 0-2.

I think the difference in this game will be Andrew Luck, he is the best QB and I think tonight he solidifies his #1 draft pick status and leads Stanford to the W.

New Orleans is still fighting for a playoff bid, a win would solidify them a spot. A win would also keep them in contention to win the division. Brees is a big game QB. While the Falcons have been quietly one of the best teams in the league, I actually think they lose this game tonight. If not, it will be a very close game. This game should also go over the 49.5 it is set at, so tease that down and take over 43.5.

Points points points...this game has an over under of 75 and we think it will get there. Not a whole lot of defense from either team but no shortage of offense.

Hawaii throws the ball all over the field and will be lead by QB Bryant Moniz. Tulsa's leader is QB G.J. Kinne and he is also a gunslinger.

I think that Hawaii will be able to expose Tulsa's defense and come out with the win in this one.

Another day and another bowl game. Last night we won as Boise State crushed Utah. 2ndnShort is currently 4-1 and looking to RUN our record to 5-1.

BAM taking Navy and Ricky Dobbs. Statistically this game is very even and these teams are very close to each other talent wise. This is a home game for San Diego but apparently there is a huge Naval base there as well so the game should be closer to 50-50 then expected.

his should be a great game because these teams play exact opposite styles of football. Navy of course runs the ball all day long with Dobbs and company, and Ryan Lindley airs it out for the Aztecs.

Players to watch for the Aztecs are WR's Vincent Brown, DeMarco Sampson and RB Ronnie Hillman.

For Navy you should look out for Ricky Dobbs and FB Alexander Teich.

I think this game comes down to experience and consistency. Navy has the edge in both of these and I think they come out on top of this one. Should be a great game and I expect it to be close the entire way.

Last night's game started very slowly, Utah was sticking with BSU and both teams were making a lot of mistakes. But as time went on Boise State started to show their true colors and pulled away from Utah. Final score 26-3.

Boise covered the spread and got the win for us pushing our record to 4-1.

Bowl Picks Vol III: Utah vs Boise State

Neither team really thought that they would be playing in this game. Utah's season ended the minute that they took the field against TCU. They were completely embarrassed and beaten badly. The next week they failed to show up and lost to Notre Dame.

Boise State played terrific all year long and looked like they were going undefeated, and then they lost to Nevada after missing two chip shot FG's. Boise State had been gunning for the National Championship game all year long and due to their strength of schedule fell way out of the picture after losing to Nevada.

If you think about it these two teams might of played each other anyway if they had both gone undefeated because neither of them would of jumped Oregon or Auburn and Utah would of had to beat TCU.

Now looking at this match up, it is clear that Boise State is the better team here. They are 17 point favorites and were better then Utah all year long. For me it is impossible to take Utah here, you can take talent, coaching, experience and everything else and throw it out the window. I am taking Boise State because I watched Utah GIVE UP against Notre Dame. Yes, they were coming off a horrible loss to TCU at home, and yes they had ruined their perfect season but as a competitive athlete you can never take the field and give up.

I can not bet on Utah because I do not trust that they will show up tonight. Even if they do they will not be the better team on the field. Boise State will show up because that's what they do in big games (minus their kicker). Hopefully both teams show up and it's a good game to watch, but I will not be putting my money on Utah in this one.

Also, Boise State is probably a pretty pissed off team right now. They have a lot of seniors that wish they were playing in the last bowl game this year, not one of the first. Could Boise State lay an egg tonight as well, maybe, but I have never seen them do it and I would think they show up tonight.

Couple reasons why I will be taking the Golden Eagles tonight. Louisville may play as many as three QB's tonight and that is never a good idea. The Big East is good at basketball this year, but not so much at football (I like UConn as a school but they will be in big trouble against Oklahoma). I say that because Louisville still only went 3-4 in the Big East after playing some poor teams. Another reason to take the Golden Eagles is because there is no way a Cardinal could beat up an Eagle, sorry.

Rolando McClain was a monster at Alabama, and from what I have seen he has had some monster plays as a Raider. You don't see a lot of form tackling in the NFL, and you won't here either. McClain rocks Darren Sproles coming across the middle. I would also like to point out that this is a completely clean hit. He leads with his shoulder, and Sproles is not a defenseless player. Also, how do you get lower then Sproles pad level he is like 5'6.

Alright, so after tons of research and multiple calls with my Vegas Connects I have come up with the following teaser...

Oregon -6.5 @ Oregon State

This is possibly the biggest game in the history of the Oregon football program. They need this win to secure a spot in the National Championship game. They are clearly the better team in this match up and Oregon State has not been playing well lately. Look for Oregon to take control early as they get their offense going, and beat Jaquizz and friends by a solid margin.

Auburn +4.5 vs South Carolina

Auburn is in the same spot as Oregon, they need this win to get into the National Championship. Auburn and Cam Newton have been spectacular all year long and although South Carolina is a good team I think Auburn comes out on top here. After seeing what Auburn did to Alabama last week coming from behind it is very hard to bet against them. This is going to be a close game throughout but Auburn has been very good late in games this year and I think they pull this out in the second half.

Virginia Tech +6.5 vs Florida State

Virginia Tech has been red hot after dropping their first two games of the season. Florida State has also been playing well but with the ACC on the line I see the Hookies coming up big in this one. These teams are very evenly matched but at the end of the day I think Tyrod Taylor and Darren Evans will be too much for the Seminoles defense to handle. If VT can pound the ball all game long I think that they will come out on top.

So go ahead and call up your bookie because this one is a winner, also all three games are on TV and all at different times so HAVE YOURSELF A DAY YOU EARNED IT!!!!

(Cam Newton and Auburn vaulted to #1 with a win over Alabama)

#1 - Auburn

They are here instead of Oregon because they beat Alabama last week. They are a very talented team offensively. With Cam Newton at the helm they can be the best team in college football. As far as he goes is as far as this team goes...that's why you pay him $180,000 a year. Oh and by the way I have no issue with players getting a sweet car or some extra money when they are bringing in as much money for the school as these guys are. Let's not get out of hand but why can't the kid have some extra money for food.

Auburn could be the best team in college football right now, the way they are playing they will be tough to beat. The only concern I have with Auburn is that they do allow a good amount of points per game.

#2 - Oregon

Oregon scores the ball better than anyone in the country. They also play solid defense. The reason they are #2 is because they have not played as tough as a schedule as Auburn. Auburn has South Carolina left and Oregon has Oregon State, so the rankings will be the same if they both win.

I think Oregon could definitely beat Auburn, they can score on anyone in the country it would probably just be a matter of who had the ball last. Certainly one of the most entertaining teams in the country, LaMichael James is a beast.

#3 - TCU

TCU does everything well, but it is hard to compare them to the top teams because of the weakness of their schedule. Every test that TCU has had they passed with flying colors. I think that TCU can compete and beat any team in the country, but they will be left out of the national championship if Oregon and Auburn win out. TCU and Boise State are huge reasons that we NEED A PLAYOFF IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL. Boise State did lose but if they had not we would of had 2 undefeated teams not playing in the national championship...just stupid.

It is unclear whom TCU will face in it's bowl game but they will compete with anyone so it will be exciting to see what they can do. Also, they are headed to the Big East next year and will certainly do well there.

#4 - Stanford

Andrew Luck is hands down the best QB in the country. Stanford has a great offense and an underrated D (11th in the country). They have only lost to Oregon. If Andrew Luck plays well then Stanford can stay with anyone in the country. If you have not seen this kid play yet then you need to check him out because he might be the best QB we have seen in college in a while.

Wisconsin - Great D, great run game

Ohio State - Terrell Pryor will be a WR in the NFL, but for now he is a great QB for the Buckeyes

Arkansas - Ryan Mallet is huge...capital HUGE

Michigan State - Well rounded team, Cousins is having a good year for them

Oklahoma - Jones to Broyles is one of the best QB to WR combos in the country

LSU - Patrick Peterson is the best DB in the country

Yes, Penn State is having a down year and OSU is really good. But Penn State is not 18 points worse then OSU. Also OSU tends to be a pretty conservative team. Don't look for PSU to win this one but look for them to keep it within 18.

TCU went on the road last weekend and blew Utah right out of the BCS, they now return home to face San Diego State. This spread should be 50. San Diego State will not get in the way of TCU, they will be run out of the building early in this one. Below you will find a list of my top receivers in the country. Feel free to disagree and sound off in the comments.

1.) Justin Blackmon, Oklahoma State

As we have been seeing more and more in the last five or so years, big receivers get it done. These guys also tend to be the guys who get it done in the pros (see Megatron, AJ and Hakeem Nicks to name a few). Blackmon and the next guy on this list are prime examples of big guys putting up major numbers. Blackmon uses his frame when he needs to but a lot of the time you can see him pulling away from guys in the open field with his speed. Note that these numbers could be even better if he had not missed a game due to a little incident we like to call a DUI. To add to all of this the kid is only a sophomore.

2.) Alshon Jeffery, South Carolina

Jeffery is a monster at 6-4 233 lbs he eats corners alive and also has the speed to get it done in the open field. QB Stephen Garcia has no problem throwing it up to Jeffery and letting him make the play. Jeffery also has ridiculous upside as he is only a sophomore this year. Look for Jeffery to continue to light it up this year as he shows no sings of slowing.

Stats: 59 Catches 1,034 Yards and 7 TD's

3.) Ryan Broyles, Oklahoma

Broyles is different then the first two guys because he is a smaller guy at 5-11 180, and regularly makes the tough third down, and short catches. That being said he has a knack for the big play and is explosive in the open field. With Landry Jones throwing to him this year he has been the best WR on the team and has been a big part of the success that Oklahoma has had.

Stats: 86 Catches 1,077 Yards and 8 TD's

These guys are the top three in the country but there are others that are close, see below for 5 more guys that should not be overlooked.

4.) A.J. Green, Georgia

A.J. missed half of the season due to NCAA violations (suspension was BS) so we can't put him in the top 3 but he deserves special mention here because he is arguably the most talented of the group.

7.) Randall Cobb, Kentucky

8.) Titus Young, Boise State

Well here we go again, another day and another ridiculous HS play. I think the coach and player got ejected in this one.

Strange to get an excessive celebration personal foul before scoring. Also strange that he was not involved in the play at all, they were just throwing deep.

Just chalk it up to another day in the world of HS sports I guess...

So is this kid a stud in HS right now seeing that this was taken in 2005. Someone needs to find this kid because he lit that kid up pretty good.

He is like twice as big as everyone else so that might be why it looked so good but seriously do you think he got tackled more then 5 times all year. The kid is probably the big kid hitting home runs in little league as well...

Ok, so we have all seen the wrong ball trick play. Kid yells that ball is dirty hikes it, walks to sideline and then takes off.

This is a little different, the KID WALKS STRAIGHT UP THE MIDDLE!!!

Is this the first game anyone on the yellow team has ever played. Do they not have access to youtube. Has the coach ever played football in his life. Have the parents in the stands ever seen a football game before.

The answer to all of these questions has to be no. Like honestly how does this happen in 2010. I am stunned and completely lost that this actually happened. On the bright side this is what makes anything below college football awesome, because things like this happen.

Again, as we posted earlier this week this HS game features some very windy weather, and some idiots. So basically a kid on the white team punts from his own 1 yard line. He gets a pretty good kick off although the wind helped a lot and it lands around the 50. The game is being played on astro turf so it starts bouncing, and rolllllllllllllllling, and rolllllllllllllllling until it literally rolls down to the 4 yard line...a 86 yard punt (you take away 10 yards for the snap)...

The white team moves a long with the ball the entire way and the black team JUST WATCHES.

Hey black team the further that ball goes the more yards you lose...have you ever watched football before, fall on the damn ball. No need to pick it up or try anything heroic, just fall on the ball. The white team is just watching the ball, go fall on it and save your team 50 yards.

How does a coach let this happen, I would be screaming for someone to fall on the ball...

HS football will always amaze me...12OT's one day, a negative yard kickoff the next and now this...I guess that's what makes HS football awesome, absolutely anything can happen

BCS Rankings: Reactions

Alright, when I was looking at the schedule for last weekends games, I wasn't over the top excited. But we ended up seeing some pretty big shifts in the top 10 as a results of a couple of upsets.

Here is the BCS top 10:

Oregon came out slow but ended up blowing USC out, they have done everything right and deserve to have the top spot.

Auburn got a big win as well and looked pretty impressive, If Oregon vs Auburn was the championship that would be pretty crazy, considering where the teams were pre-season.

Boise State got passed by TCU and the two are currently 3rd and 4th in the polls. If Boise State misses the title game and goes unbeaten it would really make the case for a playoff, and that would be awesome. Or if TCU misses it and does the same...PLAYOFFS!!!

Utah has been creeping up the polls slowly and has finally cracked the top 5. They have a HUGE game against TCU coming up. It is really crazy to see Boise State, TCU, and Utah in the top 5.

Alabama made out very well in their bye week as they moved up #6, make no mistakes they are still nasty.

Oklahoma and Nebraska got huge wins and are still right in the convo.

Wisconsin and LSU round out the top 10.

Michigan State is out after losing to Iowa, and Mizzou is as well after falling to Oklahoma.

Bonkers HS Game...

Crazy things happen in HS games, whether it's the QB also being the LB and Punter or the RB running 52 times for 320 yards or even 9 guys going both ways. This HS game is one of the craziest I have ever heard about. The game was tied 28-28 at the end of regulation, and then the teams played 12 overtimes!!!

Due to some sort of tiebreaker rules, the Dragons needed to win by 7 so they apparently extended the game when they could of won and tried to win by 7. Eventually the Dragons fumbled and the Indians kicked a FG to win by three 84-81.

Definitely one of the craziest HS stories I have heard...

This guy has every reason to be pissed, that was clearly a backwards pass and clearly a fumble...

I've got an idea...during every High School game they should have a color commentator for each team. On any questionable calls/plays they could just argue with each other for a couple of minutes while ref's sorted out the problem, it would be great entertainment...good idea right...right???

On the topic of helmet to helmet hits here is an announcer who is pretty pissed off about a helmet to helmet hit that occurred in a blowout.

This is pure gold, a lot of passion here and the dude completely loses it.

You need to listen to the whole thing because at one point he tries to fight everyone in the stands...

I guess if your are going to argue something you might as well give it a buck 10, what's the point of complaining if your not going to go hard...

Just saw the cover of SI this week, and it's this hit. There has been a lot of talk about head hits and concussions lately, and I had not posted this vid yet. This continues the softification of the NFL...was this hit really that bad. Was he headhunting? I thought it looked like a pretty clean hit...

I completely understand that with athletes getting bigger, stronger and faster every year that rules do have to change. But I think in some instances the NFL is going to far. At some point it's just a really hard hit and they are playing football. If a dude clearly lead with his helmet and launched himself into someones dome, it is obviously dangerous and should be handled. But I have seen too many clean hits with guys leading with a shoulder that are being punished.

And don't get me started with how quarterbacks are treated...get a good backup...
